As one of the region's most advanced providers of specialty care for critically ill or premature infants, the Level IV NICU treats infants born at Presbyterian Hospital, as well as hospitals throughout the area. Located within Presbyterian Women's Center in Charlotte, our NICU is a Level IV 38-bed unit providing round-the-clock care for newborns who need it most. The multidisciplinary team consists of board-certified neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, neonatal nurse practitioners, a discharge planning nurse, physical therapists, occupational therapist, social worker, nutritionists, pharmacist, audiologist, early intervention coordinators, speech therapist and child life specialist.
