Albemarle's Women's Center is fully equipped for labor, delivery, and recovery. Families hold a special place at Albemarle Hospital and our Women’s Center. Dad is welcome in the birthing room during the entire process, and visiting family members are encouraged to lend support to the mommy-to-be. Albemarle Hospital now has a certified lactation consultant whose focus is on educating parents about the benefits of and best ways to ensure successful breastfeeding. This free service is available to all new moms who give birth at Albemarle Hospital. Breastfeeding education sessions are also held twice a month for any mother wishing to learn more about breastfeeding their newborn. Learn more.
