Through the Department of Public Health, North Carolina is one of 13 states participating in the national Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network (COIIN) to reduce infant mortality. One of the five focus areas is perinatal regionalization…improving risk appropriate care for mothers and babies and reviewing classification of NICU levels in the state.
There will be an informational webinar regarding this project on February 26th from 0800-0900. As staff of a facility that delivers perinatal care, this meeting will be one you should not miss!
The input of clinical providers and staff involved with antepartum care, labor and delivery services, and care of newborns will be vital in developing a COIIN initiative that serves the needs of families and providers across the state of North Carolina. There is no charge for the webinar; pre-registration is not required. This is a great opportunity to offer your input on how we continue the journey to make North Carolina the best place to give birth and be born!
