Purpose/Goal(s):  The purpose/goal(s) of this activity is to enable healthcare providers to have a better understanding of postpartum PTSD resulting from traumatic childbirth.   

Objectives:

  • Recognize changes in DSM criteria for acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Identify risk factors associated with postpartum PTSD secondary to childbirth
  • Examine the impact of postpartum PTSD on maternal health
  • Describe treatment guidelines and pharmacologic considerations postpartum

Evaluations/Certificates:

Evaluation and post-test provided immediately following the webinar (internet browser must remain open).  Certificates provided via email approximately 1-2 weeks following the live presentation.
