NC Stewardship of Antimicrobial Resources (STAR) Partners initiative is now live for acute care hospitals! The North Carolina Department of Public Health and the NC SHARPPS program would like to recognize work supporting antimicrobial stewardship in hospitals around the state. The program offers levels of competence and achievement from Beginner to Champion based on submitted documents outlining policies, protocols, interventions and education supporting antimicrobial stewardship currently in place at each facility. Facilities meeting the requirements for each level will be awarded certificates and recognition by NC DPH and the NC SHARPPS program.
