Collaboration and Discussion

Partnering with NC Department of Vital statistics and NC Child Support Services, we gathered in Raleigh for a day long learning session where we heard data analysts and field service experts share their extensive knowledge around data interpretation and birth variable definitions.  The director of the National Center for Health Statistics shared why the work birth registrars is so important and outlined its impact on legal and medical uses for public health. Overall, it was a highly engaging atmosphere highlighting the massive responsibility birth registrars have to ensure the data they collect every day is accurate.
