FHT Interpretation Webinar - August 18th

3 months 1 week ago

As we continue our work to decrease primary cesarean deliveries, a critical piece of the puzzle is consistent interpretation and management of fetal heart tracings.  Many RPC teams are experiencing a disconnect in approach to fetal monitoring management between team members.  In an effort to provide a review of tools for consistent management of fetal monitoring, PQCNC teamed up with two nurse educators from Atrium Health, Christine Westveer MSN, RNC-MNN, C-EFM, CCE and Candy Adkins MSN, RNC-OB, to provide a brief webinar update on fetal monitoring management.  This review includes practice applications of NICHD definitions, communication strategies and key elements of documentation.  Scenarios are also reviewed to provide further detail in interpretation and response. Viewing this webinar with several team members can offer insight and promote discussion into how fetal monitoring tracings are interpreted and responded to on your unit.
