Nursing scorecard to improve clinical care for laboring women

Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is taking charge of their RPC data and working to improve clinical nursing care for laboring women.  The team at LNRMC examined the most common indications for cesarean delivery and created a nursing scorecard to demonstrate nursing interventions performed in response to the most common delivery indications.  The scorecard allows individual nurses to highlight their work, in addition to providing discussion points for situations where additional labor support measures could have been implemented. The scorecard will become a part of the annual performance review providing sustainability to the efforts implemented over the course of the RPC initiative. Strong work by the LNRMC RPC team!
