Randolph Hospital Maternity Suites and Nursery

Randolph Hospital delivers 1,000 babies every year in their 12 Maternity Suites.  Nurses provided one-on-one education to help with newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, safety and more.  The nurses are broadly experienced to provide the care needed to ensure safe and healthy deliveries and participate in a wide variety of advanced training programs including the S.T.A.B.L.E. program.  Through the S.T.A.B.L.E program, nurses stay abreast of new technology and advanced skills necessary to stabilize critical newborns. Also, the nurses participate in an outreach program conducted annually through Brenner Children's Hospital in which their skills are once again fine-tuned for advanced technical skills needed to care for and stabilize critical newborns. Additionally, each nurse is a certified Neonatal Resuscitation Provider.  Learn more.

Within Randolph Hospital’s Maternity Suites is a Level II Nursery.  A Level II Nursery provides care for premature newborns 32 weeks of gestation and full-term newborns with breathing difficulties, jaundice or other medical conditions. Infants cared for in the nursery might require oxygen and may need medication and fluids intravenously. Newborns that might require additional services beyond the basic newborn care are in good hands within the nursery.  Learn more.
